SUPPORT GROUPS:

Better Breathers: Meet the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month.
If you have chronic lung disease like asthma, bronchitis or emphysema, learn techniques, coping skills and the latest medical information.      

Diabetes: Meet the 2nd Thursday of each month.
Learn how others cope with everyday challenges that living with diabetes can present. Join Tina Belmont, Old Saybrook Town Nurse, for an informal talk.

Widows/Widowers: 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month.
Come share your experience with others, who are also learning to cope with the loss of a loved one.

Caregiver Support: 4th Thursday of each month.
Caring for someone can be exhausting and rewarding. Join us to relax, share experiences, and learn new ideas in a welcoming environment.

HEALTH SERVICES:

Foot Care: Gretchen O’Conner, RN;
Select Mondays of each month - Cost is $34. Must call for an appointment.

Haircuts: Cost for a haircut is $10. Must call for an appointment.
Tuesday with Roberta – 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Saturday with Stephanie – 3rd Saturday of each month.
Friday with Debbie – 1st and 4th Friday of each month.

FREE SERVICES:

Legal Advice: Appointments are available the 3rd Thursday of each month.
Attorney Robert F. Hester, from Connecticut Legal Services is here each month. Must call for an appointment.  Does not execute last will and testament documents.

Hearing Clinic with Bob Sawyer: Appointments are available from 9 – 11:45 a.m. the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
 

Hearing screenings, hearing aid maintenance, and ear wax inspection.  

FREE SCREENINGS:
Blood Pressure:  1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 8 - 9:30 a.m., 2nd Thursday 10 -11:00 a.m., 4th Thursday 8 - 11:00 a.m.
Diabetes: 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:30–8:30 a.m.
Cholesterol: 3rd Tuesday of each month, by appointment. 

Our thanks to: VNA of Southeastern CT, Middlesex Hospital Homecare, Shoreline Clinic, Westbrook Public Health, VNA Association, VNA of  the Lower Valley, OS Town Nurse and all the Visiting Nurses of our nine estuary towns for providing these vital services to seniors along the shoreline.
